Q. How long will it take?

A. When you attend the Police Station it normally takes 15-20 minutes to complete the identification procedure. This can however take up to half an hour if you wish to view the parade several times.

Q. What if I do not recognise the person I saw committing a crime on the video identification parade?

A. You will be asked whether you recognise the person you saw committing an offence from the images you have seen in the video identification parade. If you do not recognise that person then you should say so. Although there will be a video image of a person the Police believed to have committed the crime, the person you saw may not be in the video identification parade.
